What inspires me?

I’ve been socially active in 2015. As i’ve been known to be in the deep shadows of graphic design and advertising industry, always working and never showing, after creating my own t-shirt brand, I’ve started to exploit myself to the crowd, who am I, what I do for living and I’ve been using “I” a lot of the time :)

Since then, there were many invitations towards me to start talking in public about what i’ve done, how i’ve managed to work three jobs (My 9 to 5 job, my freelance work and my personal t-shirt brand). I did not hesitate to talk about that, actually i was delighted to talk openly on how to manage things that you love.

The most recent was at Krushevo, a small city in Macedonia. A Youth Alliance project that had visitors from all around Eastern Europe, young people from 18–26. I was on the panel “Creativity as a key for dream employability” and my task was to get them motivated with my life story.

This was a message that i’ve got from one of the organizers of the event.

Dear Goce, i’m sending you this feedback from one of our attendant at the Krushevo conference:

“First of all, the session named ‘Creativity as a key for dream employability’ was the one that impacted me the most. I want to say that Mr. Goce Veleski, the founder of ‘O my gad’ has secretly become one of the greatest inspirations for my future. Why is that? When I came back from the conference, I continued working in the same magazine I worked before and I realized that I wasn’t using my full potential there. It comes a moment in life where you know that you are made for greater things and a salary can’t define you. Of course the decision I made was a decision for which I thought three months but I took it; I left my first job to start creating my own brand.

Goce Veleski was one of my inspiration, not of his college dropout or about his lifestyle but about the idea of creating something you love. While I am writing this email, the team that I formed for my own future handcraft and design shop is working in building something new. We are all young people (19–21) and what we have is our idea, our first collection and not a lot of money to invest. What I know is that we are going forward everyday and when I recall the conference I can surely say that there was the place where I said to myself:
‘You can always try, all of these people haven’t had an easy life, but now they are striving for their dreams.”

I don’t have words to describe how i feel right now. I’m thrilled to find out that my story was someones motivation to start something.

Sorry if this took you some time, but it was really necessary for me to share this experience.

I make logos and people like them. Also writing some stuff about logos and probably people will like that too. Also I use curse words a lot. You’ve been warned.
